Bob Bertolucci: Bob has 25 years of experience in materials and processing of composite structures. As Technical Principal for Aerojet Composites Manufacturing, he has provided technical guidance for manufacturing personnel involved in the fabrication of filament-wound composite structures and tape wrapped ablative structures. Additionally, he has worked with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of filament winding equipment during the development of computer codes needed to control such machines.
His current assignment includes oversight of all production filament wound programs; identification of required tooling and assist in its design; implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles, and as a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt, using his skills to implement Statistical Process Controls (SPC) into a high production environment. His most recent projects have been in development of wet filament winding processes for the Atlas V and THAAD Motor Cases and the winding process for the Atlas V non-axisymmetric Nose Fairing.
Bob has obtained both Bachelor and Master degrees from CSU, Sacramento. He
has been married for 30 years and is the father of one engineering student, and
one graduate.. |

Brett Cowley-Crawford:
Brett is an Atlas Program Manager for Aerojet in Sacramento, CA. Prior to being
a program manager, Brett worked in the contracts department and as a data manager for the Atlas V SRM program,
providing Junior Program Management support to the program office.
Brett
graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Economics in 2002. While working at Aerojet, Brett
recently completed his MBA at UC Davis Graduate School of Management.
He loves space,
rockets and the Tesla electric car (Tesla).
His hobbies include website consulting, soccer, and fixing bikes. Brett is very excited about the tether
competition and looks forward to riding in a space elevator. |

Dave (Noah) Carroll: Dave has been involved since the inception of
the Space Elevator competition, as a supporter and more recently, an active
member of Team Astroaraneae. He has studied Mechanical Engineering at UCLA
(at which he had become friends with Michael Remington), and is currently on
hiatus while working with his family. Dave has a great and many interests
to include philosophy, computer programming, inventing, and playing rock music.
